Okcheon grapes will be showcased at The Food Show Auckland 2013, which will be held from August 1st, for two consecutive years.

Okcheon plans to send a trade mission of six government officials and industry insiders in association with the event.

Ten tons of grapes were exported through last year’s food show for the first time in Korea, and 22 tons of grapes were exported to New Zealand since then.

An Okcheon official noted that foreigners enjoy sweet and sour Okcheon grapes and added the food show will help to increase exports.

Okcheon has 550 ha of vineyards, and 56.2 percent (309 ha) ships grapes earlier than other regions. Okcheon grapes are also exported to Indonesia from 2008.
