According to the plan, a special zone of 558,000 m2 will be designated to be specialized in foreign language education.

Jincheon will rent a closed school to build an English Zone which has markets and public agencies.

In association with the Woosuk University’s global center, a global education center that focuses on foreign language education for elementary and middle school students and a 911 center that manages interpreters will be established.

Jincheon will also establish an international cultural center, which will offer various activities for Korean and foreign students, and provide education programs, including an English academy, speaking competitions and festivals.

Under a vision of creative city, programs for foreigners to experience Korean culture, festivals and education programs will also be developed.

Jincheon plans to finalize the plan with suggestions from citizens by next month and apply for the designation to the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.
