Companies have their eyes on the Second Industrial Complex in Jecheon, North Chungcheong Province.
The city signed investment agreements with Legacy P&S, Lycon Display, and SGS SA last Thursday.
The three companies decided to move into Jecheon’s the Second Industrial Complex.
Legacy P&S, a portable pool and home sauna manufacture, will make an investment of KRW 2 billion to build a 2,310 m2 plant on a 7,030 m2 site by the first half of next year.
Lycon Display, which produces LCD and plastic films, will also invest KRW 18 billion for establishment of a 2,970 m2 factory which will seat on a 4,800 m2 site.
Investment of KRW 3 billion will also be put into by SGS SA for its 990m2 factory on a 7,030 m2 site.
The three plants are expected to create 80 new jobs when they begin operation.
With the three companies, the Second Industrial Complex attracted 32 companies, showing sales rate of 63 percent.
A city official noted that the complex has convenient transportation infrastructure with Joongang Expressway and Dongseo Expressway which will be completed next year, adding that the city expects to see more investment with the city’s business-friendly sites.
