According to a report on exports of imports of North Chungcheong Province in September released by Cheongju Main Customs last week, the province’s exports rose by 9.5 percent year-on-year to reach USD 1.177 billion.

Strong semiconductor exports continued in September.
Exports of fine equipment (-7.8 percent), general machinery (-5.5 percent) and other electronic and electrical products (-2.8 percent) slowed down year-on-year, whereas semiconductor exports increased by 28.7 percent.
Exports to EU grew by 0.2 percent, however those to China (-19.3 percent), Japan (-41.4 percent) and the United States (-1.6 percent) were reduced.
Imports stood at USD 510 million, showing a trade surplus of USD 676 million.
