Dangjin City will hold a promotional event and export consultation sessions in Hanoi, Vietnam next month.
The event is promoted to penetrate a niche market, as a part of Dangjin Haenaru brand globalization project.
As Vietnam, which has a high preference for Korean agricultural products supported by K-pop and the Korean Wave, is showing a rapid economic growth, the city plans to exhibit pears, apples, rice and red ginseng products under the brand name of Haenaru, which has competitiveness in the Vietnamese market.
About four exporting companies and producers will hold a promotion booth, tasting event and export consultation sessions.
A Dangjin official noted that the event will serve as an opportunity to enhance cultural and friendly exchanges between Korea and Vietnam, penetrate and dominate the Vietnamese and Southeast markets. He added that entering the Vietnamese market will help to increase exports of Haenaru agricultural and specialty products.
Dangjin exported grapes to Vietnam last September which drew a large popularity from local residents. The city also plans to export pears, apples and rice to Vietnam in November.
