Jeungpyeong General Industrial Complex No.2 to Begin Construction in 2014

(JEUNGPYEONG = Newsis)The Jeungpyeong General Industrial Complex No.2 in Doan-myun, Noam-ri, which is at the top of the district’s agenda, will begin its construction.

President Han seung-goo and director Lee Hyunwoo of Kyeryong Construction Co. met with Governor Hong Seungryeol on 31th to discuss the construction in details, according to the district office of Jeungpyeong.

President Han asked for active administrative and financial supports from the district office, as well as land compensation and plans to attract companies to the complex.

As Gyeryong Construction Co. stepped up its effort to promote the construction, the construction plan started to gain its momentum. The business plan was announced in June 2011, but it was put on hold due to economic downturn in both international and domestic markets.

The Jeungpyeong General Industrial Complex No. 2 is located in Doan-myun, Noam-ri. It holds some 508,711㎡ for industrial lots, 2,057㎡ for supporting installations, 196,254㎡ for public facilities. The complex plans to induce companies in electronic equipment, computer, visual, sound and telecommunication, medical, precision, optic and electrical equipment industry.

Governor Hong visited Gyeryong Construction Co. on 10th in October and urged the company to press ahead the construction plan.

The company completed its investment evaluation last month on 17th, and it will commence its portion surveying, as well as land compensation announcement and organization of compensation committee before the end of year.

It will discuss the land compensation next year and begin construction in June.

“The opening of Jeungpyeong Complex will give the district a chance to induce labor forces and develop the local economy.” Governor Hong said. “The district will improve accessibility between the complex and Jeungpyeong Edufarm and logistics in the region by completing the construction of the Complex’s infrastructure. We expect that this will induce more investments to the district.”

The district promotes infrastructure projects with KRD 17.5 billion such as industrial water development project in order to support the complex. currently puts efforts to secure budget of KRW 14.5 billion.
