(CHENGJU = Newsis) The North Chungcheong Province announced on 18 December that it concluded a KRW 322.4 billion worth of investment agreement with a joint venture by three companies.
SY Energy, a joint venture by Hanhwa Group, Hanhwa TechM and KB Investment & Securities, will invest KRW 100 billion in Jincheon to develop eco-friendly wood pellet manufacturing plant.
The plant is expected to produce annual volume of 300,000 tons of wood pellet.
iCoop Korea will also invest KRW 200 billion in Goesan fermented food agro & industrial complex to develop a eco-friendly food cluster by attracting 20 companies in the relevant industry.
Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corp. will invest KRW 22.4 billion in Chengwon to consolidate and expand the agro & fisheries products stockpile sites scattered across the region.
