(JINCHEON = Yonhap News) Chungcheongbuk-do Jincheon plans to construct a cosmetic and beauty product-oriented industrial complex.
The county announced on February 1 that it will invest about KRW 98 billion in Seongseok-ri to develop “Beauty Valley.”
It aims to attract companies in cosmetic, beauty, medical appliance and packaging industries.
The county is planning to construct a techno village that is capable of hosting apartment-style factories, research institutes and start-up support centers by private and public joint investment.
The village will include experience and leisure & sports facilities.
Construction of cosmetic distribution center is also under consideration.
The county plans to complete necessary paperwork and working design process and commence the construction at the end of this year.
The construction of Beauty Valley is expected to be completed at the end of 2018. The county will begin attracting companies soon after the construction is completed.
“The cosmetic industry is regarded as one of the most prospective growth engine,” said an official of the county. “We will actively support the construction of Beauty Valley to lead the industry.”
