Yeongdong-gun to Develop "Wine Street"
(YEONGDONG = Newsis) Chungcheongbuk-do Yeongdong-gun received the excellence award in the government’s contest for its “Yeongdong 101 wine tour vitalization project” and will be provided with support of KRW 480 million.
The county plans to combine the prize money with its county budget of KRW 1.12 billion to develop “wine street” near Yeongdong Station and Yongdu Neighborhood Park by 2015.
It will develop wine waterway, Grapevine Street, wine photo zones in the area, and plans to hold wine and food contest and film a documentary about wine.
The county expects that, by developing “wine street” near Yeongdong Station, it will be able to vitalize the local economy.
