Chungbuk Houses Solar Power Tech Support Center
(CHEONGJU = Newsis) The North Chungcheong Province will house the solar power technology center, which is responsible for providing technological supports for solar power companies.
The province and Chungbuk Technopark yesterday held a groundbreaking ceremony for the solar energy technology support center and building energy technology support center.
Ceremony attendees include Lee Si-jong, Governor of Chungbuk, Yoo Young-hoon, Governor of Jincheon-gun and other business leaders and officials from the various fields.
The solar power technology support center is a 2-story building with 4,933m2 total floor areas, and the Korea Comformity Laboratory’s building energy technology support center is a 3-story building with 2,475m2 total floor areas.
The solar power technology center aims to operate facilities and equipment that are necessary for the evaluation of solar module performance and provide support for relevant companies’ commercialization and production.
The building energy technology support center supports comprehensive performance•system•energy tests and provide necessary structure and safety technologies for the building integrated solar cell (BIPV).
