According to Yonhap News,

(JINCHEON=Yonhap News) An automobile fuel efficiency center will be constructed in Jincheon County, North Chungcheong Province. The center will be the only authorized automobile research and development center in Korea.

According to Jincheon on September 9, the County will establish a working design from early next month to build a two-story automobile fuel efficiency center on 10,000 ㎡ land.

The County plans to complete the design by the end of the year and complete the construction by the second half of next year.

The project began with the agreement to establish a fuel efficiency center between North Chungcheong Province, Jincheon County and the Korea Energy Management Corporation last January.

North Chungcheong Province and Jincheon County expect that the center will become the industrial cluster of automobile parts and manufacturing and the research base for the secondary cells, the core element for the future green cars including electronic cars and hydrogen and fuel cell cars.
