(CHUNGJU=Yonhap News) According to Chungju City on March 23, the city and the Chungbuk Horticulture National Agricultural Cooperative Federation signed an agreement with MG Produce, an American company, to expand export of its apples to the United States.

Chungju will be able to export 500 tons of apples annually to the Eastern United States from its previous 50 tons.

MG Produce, a distributor of fruits and vegetables, has more than 300 business partners around the country.

The city also held investor relations events to the Korean residents in New Jersey and to the participants who are interested in investment in Chungju.

A city official introduced Chungju’s easy accessibility, outstanding infrastructure for business activities, major industrial complexes including the Ecopolis and its excellent investment environment.
