(CHEONGJU=NEWSIS) Bio Korea 2015, Asia’s largest international bio conference, will be held from April 8 to 10 at COEX, Seoul.

Bio Korea 2015, celebrating its tenth anniversary this year, is jointly hosted by North Chungcheong Province and the Korea Health Industry Development Institute. More than 200 companies will participate in the event including 80 companies from 20 countries.

The event comprises a conference, business forum, job fair and exhibitions. The exhibition hall will be filled with 500 booths of 200 companies specializing in medicine and medical supplies, medical equipment, bio convergence and consulting.

The conference will be attended by experts in sectors including bio, pharmaceutical, vaccine and health care to discuss and share opinions on various topics.

The business forum will be divided into a technology showcase and bio investment conference. Foreign large-scale pharmaceutical companies and Korean major pharmaceutical and bio companies will discuss about measures to conduct joint research projects.

The job fair will be held for two days from April 8 to 9. The fair will support jobseekers to find suitable jobs, provide job consulting services and introduce support programs for employment and start-ups.

Bio Korea 2015 will also include a photomicrograph exhibition and design contest for the Bio Korea 2016 poster.

"Bio Korea is an annual event to promote Korean bio-related companies to enter the foreign markets and increase their recognition in the international community. We hope Bio Korea 2015 will be a venue to carry out practical business affairs," said a provincial official.
