(CHEONGJU=Yonhap News) The establishment of the Goesan organic food cluster, which is promoted by North Chungcheong Province, will go under a preliminary feasibility study by the Ministry of Strategy and Finance (MSF).
"We had to visit the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and MSF for several times and persuaded them what the cluster can bring us. We will do our utmost to ensure that we pass the preliminary feasibility study," said a provincial official.
The organic food cluster (12,000㎡) that builds a comprehensive system from production, processing, distribution, research to experience will receive KRW 98.1 billion of investment (national expenses: KRW 62.9 billion, local expenses: KRW 23.7 billion).
The province regards the organic food as a new growth engine for the 21 Century along with life industry and eco-tourism.
