According to Yonhap News,
(CHEONGJU=Yonhap News) Cheongju City signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with China’s Wuhan City to promote economic development of both cities.
The MOU will allow each city to provide investment advices to each other and cooperate together to develop new technologies.
The two have agreed to promote exchanges by sending delegations to all kinds of marketing events including investment and trade fairs.
Wuhan City, a city with a population of 11 million, has leading industries in steel, chemistry and automobiles. Many Koran companies including SK Chemicals and LSIS have offices in the city.
Since Cheonju has established a sisterhood relationship with Wuhan in October, 2000, the two cities have been engaged in active exchanges in sectors including culture, arts and youth.
