CHUNGCHEONGBUK-DO < invest Korea

(CHEONGJU=NEWSIS) Cheongju City announced September 10 that it will invest KRW 6 billion in the establishment of a green energy town by 2019. The investment will include KRW 4.2 billion of the project cost to develop the rural areas by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs.

The city, which aims to revitalize the economy of Miwon-myeon, will invest KRW 800 million in building the circular green road that connects the bikeway from Miwon stream to Midongsan Arboretum and KRW 1.7 billion in establishing a multi-purpose green energy square and parking lot to facilitate the Miwon 5-day market.

It will also invest KRW 1.2 billion in cultural welfare projects and KRW 2.3 billion in creating a rest area and safe school zone.
