(CHEONGJU=NEWSIS) The Chungbuk Free Economic Zone Authority (CBFEZA) President Jin Sang-heon met with Safran Group CEO Philippe Petitcolin on November 4 to discuss ways to cooperate on the Cheongju Aeropolis MRO project.

Safran, which built its Korean office in July, 2014, is one of the top ten global companies in the aerospace and defense industry.

The company is reviewing its plan to promote MRO project in Korea as a follow-up to responding to the domestic market demand and increasing its support for customers in Asia and the use of Airbus flights.

CBFEZA plans to carry out working-level discussions as Safran’s participation in the Cheonju International Airport MRO project is taking shape.
