British ambassador granted honorary citizenship of Chungju

According to Yonhap News,
(CHUNGJU=Yonhap News) British Ambassador to South Korea Charles Hay became an honorary citizen of Chungju, a city south of Seoul, on Wednesday.
He received the certificate during a visit to the city in North Chungcheong Province.
The envoy said he is happy to become an honorary citizen and vowed to make efforts to publicize the city.
He also received an honorary doctorate at the National University of Transportation and delivered a special lecture on the future society and creative workforce.
His visit here came at the invitation of Kim Young-ho, president of the university. Hay assumed the ambassadorial post in Seoul in February.
