(DAEJEON=Yonhap News) Daejeon City signed investment agreements with six small- and medium-sized companies on April 26.
The companies, which are in the IT, bio and chemical materials industries, will invest KRW 55.5 billion in the Daejeon Industrial Complex, Daedeok Techno Valley and science-business belt region.
The city will provide administrative and financial support to the companies to create new jobs and revive the regional economy.
"We are striving to prepare a new vision for the city and develop the high-tech industry to build a sustainable city. We are very grateful to the six companies for investing in our city," said Daejeon City Mayor Kwon Sun-taik.
