(DAEJEON=NEWSIS) Daejeon City will build a reliability center for hydrogen infrastructure at the Daedeok Innopolis by 2021.

The city will invest KRW 200 billion in building the center on 10,600㎡ of land. The center will handle hydrogen-related parts and materials, establish standardization of equipment and safety standards and develop skilled workforce.

The city signed a business agreement with the Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science on May 12 to promote the project.

"We will strive to develop the city into the hub of research and development for hydrogen-related parts and materials," said a city official.
