According to Yonhap News,

(DAEJEON=Yonhap News) Daejeon Metropolitan City held a presentation meeting on the preparations for the 2017 Asia Pacific Cities Summit & Mayors' Forum (2017 APCS) and launched the '2017 APCS Steering Committee,' a business advisory group mainly comprised of local enterprenuers, on November 14, 2016.

Daejeon was selected as a host city for the international event after two failed attempts since 2009.

During the four-day event, which will be held between September 10 to 13 at the Daejeon Convention Center, around 1,500 participants including mayors of 100 Asia-Pacific cities, academic officials, enterpreneurs, and college students will discuss international cooperation among cities including exchanges between major cities in Asia Pacific and strategies for future cities.

In addition to basic programs such as keynote speeches, plenary session, subcommittee meetings, mayors' forum, youth forum and exhibitions, the summit will feature various events in association with the WTA Hi-Tech Fair and special exhibition of Daejeon Museum of Art.
