K-ICT 3D Printing Daejeon Center Opens to Develop Smart Robots

 According to Yonhap News,

(DAEJEON=Yonhap News) The K-ICT 3D Printing Daejeon Center, which will lead the 3D printing industry in Daejeon, opens on November 24, 2016.




The center is aiming to establish a foundation for the 3D printing business by fostering specialized companies and taking the advantageous position in the 3D printing market through commercialization as well as technology and equipment support centering on smart machine robots.

Local companies, universities, and research institutes will build advanced 3D printers with various features to cope with the rapidly changing 3D printing industry environment.

Invention Lab where business people and local residents can learn about 3D printing, a business center and a workshop to build pilot products will be set up in the center.

As part of opening event, a seminar on the 3D printing-based smart city will be held as well.

A city official said, "We will actively support local 3D printing companies seeking to expand businesses globally to create new markets, discover creative talents, and create jobs."
