(DAEJEON=Yonhap News) The city of Daejeon announced August 11 that it will be holding the 2017 Daejeon World Innovation Forum, the 14th WTA Daejeon Hi-Tech Fair & Business Conference, and the 2017 UNESCO-WTA International Joint Workshop, from September 11 to 14 at the Daejeon Convention Center (DCC).

The World Innovation Forum is an official forum established by the United Nationa Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the World Technopolis Association (WTA) and Daejeon.

This year's forum will be held under the theme "Cooperative Innovation and Smart Infrastructure in the Age of Technological Convergence."

The WTA Daejeon Hi-Tech Fair & Business Conference is a specialized exhibition that fosters the exchange of the latest advances in science and technology and supports small and medium companies to enter foreign markets.

Meanwhile, the UNESCO-WTA International Joint Workshop will focus on the future prospects of the science and technology clusters during the fourth industrial revolution.
