According to Yonhap News,

(DAEJEON=Yonhap News) Korea Advanced Institute of Science & Technology (KAIST) announced November 13 that it will be holding a forum on the 4th industrial revolution in Korea with the World Economic Forum (WEF) in April 2018.

At the Annual Meeting of the Global Future Councils hosted by WEF in Dubai on November 11 and 12, KAIST President Shin Sung-chul had a one-on-one meeting with WEF Chairman Klaus Schwab.

At the meeting, Chairman Schwab expressed that he was satisfied with the round table discussion (Mastering the Fourth Industrial Revolution: Future Jobs and Inclusive Growth in Korea) co-hosted by KAIST and WEF in Seoul on October 13, upon which the two decided to hold the forum as a follow-up event.

Chairman Schwab also showed great interest in Daejeon's initiative to transform the city into an 'Industry 4.0 Special City.'

Every year, WEF invites some 850 representative of 74 countries to the Annual Meeting of the Global Future Councils in Dubai, where discussions take place on important global issues.
