According to Yonhap News,

(DAEJEON=Yonhap News) The city of Daejeon will lead efforts to revive restaurants affected by the economic recession.

On April 1, the city announced it will provide free, customized consulting for 20 restaurants with sluggish sales from May to November.

Experts in business, restaurant menus, public relations, facilities, customer service, etc. will visit each restaurant to provide business strategy, food quality and menu design, marketing, interior design and sanitation consulting in order to boost sales.

Restaurants in Daejeon that have been open for more than 6 months and have less than 5 employees are eligible for the free consultations.

However, this excludes restaurants in violation of food sanitation regulations as well as franchise establishments.

Last year, Daejeon City provided free consulting for 20 restaurants as well.

A city official said, "This project will act as a primer for restaurants struggling in the economic recession and thereby provide economic stability to locals and help stimulate the local economy."
