(HONGSEONG=Yonhap News) On June 6, Chungnam-do revealed it will build 2 farmer's markets in Daegu, Yuseong and Hakha districts, in order to cultivate a market for Chungnam's local agricultural products.
The Chungnam Metropolitan Direct Trading Center will be built in the Yuseong-gu Dajeon MBC building parking lot and will be 1869㎡. The KRW 2.16 billion project is expected to finish in November.
The center will include a farmer's market, local food cafe and restaurant as well as a multi-purpose facility.
An urban-style local food direct trading center will also be built in Hakha District on the main street of Cheongyang-gun.
The facility will feature a farmer's market and a farmhouse restaurant, and about 300 farmers will sell over 500 different types of agricultural products.
The annual sales goal is KRW 4 billion, and farmers will get to take home all of the profits minus a 10% fee.
