According to Yonhap News,
(DAEJEON=Yonhap News) Project Daejeon, a science and arts convergence exhibition held every two years, will not be called Daejeon Biennale.
On July 3, Daejeon Museum of Art announced it will host this year's Daejeon Biennale with the theme of "Bio" for 100 days from July 17 to October 24.
During this time, 48 works combining biotechnology with artistic imagination will be on display at the Daejeon Museum of Art and Creative Center, DMA Art Center, KAIST Vision Hall and more.
About 20 artists or teams from 10 different countries including the U.S., Taiwan, Canada and Australia will take part in the exhibition.
The works will reflect the possible effects the development of bio research can have on humans, the environment and communities. There will also be a program to help children better understand scientific art.
The museum held first held a Daejeon FAST exhibition in 2007, and then held Project Daejeon every other year since 2012.
The name was changed to Biennale to reflect the fact that the exhibition is held every two years.
