Daejeon Metropolitan Office of Education Transfers Smart Education to Mongolia

According to Yonhap News,

(DAEJEON=Yonhap News) Daejeon Metropolitan Office of Education announce on August 10 that Seol Dong-ho, the superintendent and his party will visit the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports of Mogolia from August 12 to 16, to enhance cooperation on information exchange and support smart education.

The Office of Education, as the first office in Korea, has been implementing education exchange projects with Mongolia since 2002, established smart classrooms in 2 schools in Mogolia, and supported Mongolian students so that they could be take classes in an advanced educational environment.

This year, the Office plans to establish 2 smart classrooms and provide EDU Maker Board, developed jointly by the Office of Education and Electronics and Telecomunications Research Institute (ETRI).

Mr. Seol and the party will have discussions on how to enhance cooperation on exchanges with the Mongolian Ministry during their visit.

They will also visit the office of the Korea-Mogolia Greenbelt Plantation Project to learn about climate change and the efforts to combat desertification.
