(DAEJEON=Yonhap News) The sewage treatment technology of a SME in Daejeon will be exported to Vietnam.
Daejeon city signed MOU with Korea Water Resources Corporation (K-water), Vietnam's southern province of Binh Duong, and Becamex, a public corporation in Binh Duong on modernization of water resource facilities and establishment of smart city.
According to the agreement, a SME in Daejeon will sign a contract with Becamex to manufacture and install a sewage treatment facility of 4,000 ㎥/day capacity in the province of Binh Duong within this year.
The main contract worth USD 1.1 million.
Becamex's chairman said, "If a sewage treatment facility proves to be excellent, other 17 sewage treatment plants may follow suits."
Daejeon mayor expressed expectation, saying "We laid a stepping stone for our SMEs enter the water supply and sewage industry of Binh Duoung, Vietnam."
