According to Yonhap News,

The city of Daejeon announced on Dec. 23 that the local authority has successfully created over a thousand jobs, helping 30 more businesses resettled inside the city this year.

A series of business & investment contract were made between the city government and four promising SMEs and one contact center. Those who’ve signed this time are known as five promising local businesses, producing polyimide products, hydrogen fuel cell products and LCD monitor developed for the purpose of military use.

They’ve all agreed to make a KRW 21.2 billion investment in a new production line set close to the Int’l Science Business Belt by the year 2030, hiring 122 new employees. Ipitech, who has a high reputation for the polyimide production, is reported to join the investment project to set a new factory line worth KRW 5 billion, which appears to make the city way more competitive in material / parts industry.
