DVC partnered with six local venture firms to advance defense technology

Daejeon Defense Venture Center (DVC) and six local venture startup firms signed a memorandum of understanding for partnership to support new business on Jun. 11 at the DVC conference room.

DVC signaled that they’re willing to help its partners stretch out defense industry, while jointly exploring new business opportunities with the military, developing technologies and marketing. The six partners – Lynx Computing Systems, Blue TEC, XMW Inc., Olzetek, Utobiz, and Hansco- who wish to reach the large but elusive military market will focus mainly on further advancing products of the arms industry and becoming self-sufficient in technologies to supply more of home-grown goods.

The number of partners working with DVC has jumped to 58 in total from 22 since 2011 when the center was founded. Some of them have already brought out a tangible outcome, acquiring a dozens of patent and accredited certificates to meet industry standards.

DVC, co-operated both by the city of Daejeon and Defense Agency for Technology and Quality, is a national body in charge of helping smaller businesses advance into the military market, along with a course of education, research and policy setting programs.
