“2020 Daejeon Science Festival” starts from Oct 7 online

According to Yonhap News,


“2020 Daejeon Science Festival” takes place online from Oct 7-10. The city government announced on Oct 4 a switch of the event formation from offline to online due to coronavirus pandemic this year.

There will be a series of talk shows and public lecture courses with well known scientists in real time. Online programs in which internet-savvy teenagers can join together, alongside virtual site exploration course to browse Daedeok Innopolis, Korea Research Institute of Bioscience and Biotechnology (KRIBB), Korea Research Institute of Chemical Technology (KRICT) and Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI) are prepared. At the sub-event, associated with the main programs, 2020 World Science-Culture Forum, a group of speakers open classes to learn more on science, culture and changing ways of communication in the age of COVID-19, under the topics of ‘Safe society secured by scientific technology’.

Anyone interested in the show can join and have answers to questions of COVID-19 test kits, vaccines or medicines to cure.
