Data resources, equivalent in value to KRW 123 billion, are set to be provided for locally based small and mid-sized companies and startups.
The city of Daejeon announced the launch of a biz-support program, dubbed “Data-Voucher Program”, on Mar 12 designed to provide authorized access to data purchasing or processing for early stage startups in need of support to create data-driven innovative breakthroughs and develop new products and services.
The program is reported to cost KRW 123 billion (for 2,580 cases) sourced 100% from national budgets.
The city is planning to identify potential candidates seeking assistance and business in high demand, including wireless telecom service, bio-medical technology and intelligent robotics etc.
Anyone interested in the program can visit www.kdata.or.kr/datavoucher and submit application forms until Apr 16. The shortlistees are authorized to be given a data-purchasing voucher worth up to KRW 18 million and data-processing voucher valued up to KRW 70 million each after going through documentation screening process.
