Under the contract agreed upon, both will co-advance a mutual partnership platform for education, research-development and industry development; form a testing ground to simulate new technologies and services; promote entrepreneurship and foster tech-startups; form a startup hub; and join forces to provide open-access to educational resources, enabling more people to further improve their understanding of science and scientific technologies.

Both also reached a consensus to form a working-level task force to proceed the details of the action plans stipulated on the contract, while exchanging human resources for better and effective partnership.

In celebration of the MOU signing ceremony, the KASIT president said “We’ll team up with the city of Dajeon on a path toward a global science city.” The city mayor also delivered a word of encouragement saying “Sincerely hope that many of young talents that KAIST have long produced can challenge and represent the spirit of entrepreneurship in the city of Industry 4.0.”
