Daejeon City announced on June 2 that it will receive applications from companies for 21 spots in Daejeon Contents Support Center by June 15.

Daejeon-si won a contract "Establishment of Regional Hub Type Support Center for Contents Companies" commissioned by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in May last year, securing KRW 8.23 billion over the next five years. It will have one basement floor and 6 floors (4053.33 sq. meters) in Mannyeon-dong, Seo-gu, Daejeon.

Tenant companies will be provided with individual/shared office space for up to four years, and various programs such as support for specialized production, contents training and mentoring, tailored to their growth stages.

Those qualified for application are: creative contents including character, animation, music and broadcasting; and innovative contents such as immersive contents, technology convergence contents, and functional contents.

Individuals and corporate business operators, potential entrepreneurs who own contents-related business in Daejeon are eligible for application. However, those residing outside are required to move headquarters to Daejeon within two months from move-in.
