DAEJEON < invest Korea

According to Yonhap News,

The Ministry of SMEs and Startups (MSS) said on July 27 that it selected Daedeok-gu, Daejeon and Yeongcheon-si, Gyeongbuk-do for 'private-public cooperation small and mid-sized venture smart innovation district project'.

The smart innovation district project is to establish smart-platform and AI logistics system, assuming investment of private companies, in the underdeveloped, SMEs-crowded area.

The MSS plans to invest KRW 4 billion over the next two years in the area (annually KRW 2 billion). Local governments also plan to invest corresponding amount.

There are more than 200 machinery and metal companies in Pyengchon industrial area in Daedeok-gu, Daejeon. And about 50 SMEs in auto parts, machinery, and metal fields are in Donam Agricultural-Industrial Complex in Yeongcheon-si.
