Daejeon City has attracted 6 companies to the Ansan Advanced Defense Industrial Complex.

Daejeon-si signed an MOU attended by the city's mayor and CEO's of companies on September 28 at the city hall.

According to the MOU, each company will invest about KRW 167.1 billion in Ansan Advanced Defense Industrial Complex in Yuseong-gu to build headquarters, factories, and research institutes. The city expects that about 518 new jobs will be created.

Kyeongin Tech, specialized in electromechanical actuator technology, a main part of precision guided munitions, is to expand unmanned submersibles and submarine walking robots and other robot businesses.

EM Korea, a company listed on KOSDAQ, plans to push for businesses such as ultra-precision processing of aviation and defense parts and defense products using hydrogen energy, and Hansco is said to expand its business in the import-dependent special alloy industry.

Meanwhile, the city has attracted a total of 85 companies in the seventh popularly elected government. The total investment amount reached KRW 909.6 billion, and the number of expected new employees is about 4,100.
