Daejeon City and Abu Dhabi City in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) signed a technical cooperation agreement on November 18 (local time) to build hydrogen-based public transportation infrastructure.
Daejeon-si said that its Deputy Mayor of Science, Abu Dhabi's Deputy Minister of Local Transportation Department, and CEO of the Korea Gas Technology Corporation, signed the agreement in Abu Dhabi.
It detailed the hydrogen cooperation agreement signed with the United Arab Emirates in 2019. According to the agreement, Daejeon and Abu Dhabi will cooperate in establishing green hydrogen-based charging infrastructure and R&D works.
With the agreement, Daejeon-si secured a stepping stone to export its hydrogen charging infrastructure technology that it has secured throughout all stages of hydrogen production, transportation, supply, and charging.
