A project to inform citizens of various disasters, predicted in a three-dimensional (3D) city in a virtual space is to go ahead.
Daejeon-si signed a MOU with the Korea Land and Geospatial Informatix Corporation (LX) on establishing 'Twin Daejeon', a space information data platform, at City Hall on January 18.
The city plans to predict and inform the citizens of the occurrence of climate disasters(heat island/black ice), road disasters (pothole/cracks), and atmospheric disasters (fine dust/yellow dust) through computer simulations in Twin Daejeon, to be realized in a virtual space.
