According to Newsis,

Daejeon-si said on February 1 that it will support KRW 5.2 billion through '2022 foreign trade and commerce basic plan' to help local SMEs and startups open up export channels.

With the online business meeting scheduled for this month as a starter, the city will carry out 22 specific projects in 2 areas, which are overseas online/offline marketing support project and global export foundation project.

In particular, the city plans to hold the export consultation by inviting foreign buyers and holding an excellent product fair in connection with the 2022 Daejeon United Cities & Local Governments (UCLG) to be held in October this year.

Also, it will open 11 lectures to help SMEs strengthen their export capability by learning the know-how from experts in exports in such areas as the process of establishing overseas market entry strategy, etc.

The city supported 1448 companies last year through 27 projects to help local export companies to enter the overseas markets.
