Daejeon-si and Institute of Information & Communications Technology Planning & Evaluation (IITP) under the Ministry of Science and ICT opened and began operation of 'AI Innovation Hub Communication Center' in Deaejon Technopark in Seonhwa-dong, Jung-gu on February 21.
The IITP has promoted 'AI Innovation Hub' project to conduct highly difficult and challenging projects to develop next-generation AI core technology, jointly with 12 domestic universities including the Korea University since last year.
The Center will serve as a venue for project participants to gather and hold seminars, present research results, and share information.
The office for AI graduate school council, which was within the Korea University, will be moving in to jointly work on academic seminars, policy survey, and research and PR.
An official said, "AI Innovation Hub Communication Center will be a stepping stone for Daejeon to leap forward as a center of AI innovation."
