The Daejeon Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) announced on March 17 that the Daejeon Human Resources Development (DHRD) Committee had secured a total of KRW 3.5 billion, including KRW 2.65 billion from the government, through the regional innovation project public competition project hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor.

This project has been designed to support the creation and improvement of high-quality jobs by utilizing various local human and material resources.

Previously, Daejeon-si formed a dedicated team in the DHRD Committee in 2017 to discover new projects and secure government funds.

In particular, the Committee secured KRW 2.65 billion national funding this year, up 46.4% from the previous year, with a total of 10 projects selected.

As a regional innovation project, the DCCI plans to create jobs through 10 detailed support projects such as fostering high-tech technology businesses, supporting companies to create jobs for young people, supporting in-house startups in Daedeok Innopolis, and supporting smart green industrial complex infrastructure.
