According to Yonhap News,

The second exhibition hall of the Daejeon Convention Center (DCC), which will serve as a catalyst for Daejeon's emergence as a city of high value-added exhibition industry, was completed two years after the commencement of construction.

Daejeon-si said on March 29 that the 2nd DCC Exhibition Hall, which was built on the site of the former Trade Exhibition Center in Doryong-dong, Yuseong-gu, with an investment of KRW 117.5 billion. It has two basement floors and three floors (total floor area 49,754㎡) on which three exhibition halls, a multi-purpose hall, and meeting rooms are established.

The exhibition space on the first floor is 11,151 square meters, which is four times the size of the first exhibition hall (2,500 square meters), and up to 8,000 people can enter at the same time. 500 exhibition booths can be installed in the space that is 1.5 times than that of a soccer field.

It will start rent the exhibition halls after pilot operation and improving internal facilities.

With the UCLG General Assembly to be held in October as a starter, Daejeon-si plans to attract mid- to large-scale exhibition and convention events by active marketing at home and abroad, while step up the efforts for the designation of an international conference complex area in connection with nearby accommodation facilities.
