According to Yonhap News,
Korea Forest Service unveiled on Nov. 8 that Deajeon Dullesan-gil Trail and Hallasan Dulle-gil Trail are both designated National Forest Roads.
Daejeon Dullessan-gil Trail travels across major mountains in five counties in Daejeon-si and is visited by 1.18 million annually.
On the other hand, Hallasan Dulle-gil Trail is a forest that allows forest healing and vacation by partnering with nearby woods, attracting 840,000 visitors annually.
Once designated as National Forest Roads, the trails are systematically managed under a public-private consultative body so that their preservation and use work to protect the forest ecosystem.
Lee Yong-seok, Director of the Forest Welfare Bureau said, "there is a growing interest in forest roads where people can enjoy outdoor activities due to the spread of COVID-19," adding, "we will name more of National Forest Roads and oversee them in a coordinated way."
