According to Yonhap News,
The Daejeon Bio Venture Open Lab, which aims to support bio venture startups, opened on Jan. 26 in Daedeok Innopolis.
The Open Lab, in which KRW 800 million was invested, is 250.7 ㎡ and consists of four tenant offices, two conference rooms, and one shared laboratory.
Tenant enterprises have access to laboratories and expensive research equipment that are difficult to set up in the early stages of a startup.
The city plans to recruit tenant companies in February, and the companies will receive customized programs from the senior companies located in the Daejeon Bio Venture Town.
Lee Seok-bong, Vice Mayor for Economy and Science, said, "Fostering the bio-industry is of great significance in terms of creating quality jobs and growing the local economy."
