According to an anlysis, companies that used the D-Unicorn Lounge, a common work space for start-ups and venture companies, attracted more than KRW 100 billion investment in just a a year and a half.

On May 13, Daejeon-si said education for technology startups, forums, briefing sessions, and IRs took place in the D-unicorn lounge, which opened in December 2022, located on the 20th floor of the Tower building of Science Complex.

Daejeon-si explained that it drew a total of KRW 114.8 billion won worth of investment through a corporate investment briefing held at the D-Unicorn Lounge for a year and a half.

Last year, the D-Unicorn Lounge recorded a total of 8,068 users, an average of 673 per day.

In 1Q this year, a total of 1,460 people used the D-Unicorn Lounge, up 584 from the same period last year.

The city explained that this statistics shows that meetings, educations, and conferences have centered on the D-Unicorn Lounge.

It also plans to host venture forums and investment attraction programs held in the metropolitan area to further reinvigorate the D-unicorn lounge and actively open nationwide events on weekdays and weekends.
