According to Pulse by Maeil Business News Korea,

LG Uplus Corp. commenced operations for its 1,000 kW self-sufficient solar power facility at its Daejeon R&D Center on Sunday.

The solar installation, which spans 4,862 square meters and includes the use of 1,740 bifacial solar panels, is situated in the center’s parking lot and playground areas.

According to the company, this is the largest single solar power facility operated by the telecommunications industry in South Korea.

The facility is expected to generate about 1.37 million kWh of electricity annually. This output will enable the Daejeon R&D Center to replace about 11 percent of its annual electricity consumption with renewable energy, reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 630 tons per year.
