32 companies participated in the council to foster the secondary battery industry in Daejeon

On July 23, Daejeon-si held a launching ceremony for the Daejeon Secondary Battery Industry Business Council at the Lotte City Hotel.

32 companies with business sites in Daejeon, including KOSDAQ-listed companies in the region such as MinTech and Nano Team as well as LG Energy Solution, SK On, and Lotte Chemical, participated in the consultative body.

The council was launched to foster the secondary battery industry, build a self-sustaining ecosystem, revitalize cooperative networks between companies, and strengthen industrial competitiveness.

The council will be a venue to discuss business support policies and joint collaboration technology development to revitaliz the secondary battery industry, and serve as a communication channel with the government and Daejeon-si, among others.

Daejeon-si plans to devise specialized strategies and mid- to long-term roadmaps to strengthen its competitive advantage compared to other local governments, and prepare support measures to foster leading companies in the secondary battery industry.
