On September 11, Daejeon Technopark (Daejeon TP) announced that it has signed an MOU with ART-ER, a reional innovation agency, in Emilia-Romagna, Italy to support Daejeon companies' entry into the Italian market.

More than 30 officials attended the MOU signing ceremony held on the previous day, including President Kim Woo-yeon of Daejeon TP, Director Roberto Righetti of ART-ER, and those from eight Daejeon companies.

The two parties agreed to cooperate to develop joint support programs for startups and SMEs, support the entry of Daejeon-based companies to the Italian market, and establish business network and partnerships.

ART-ER is the Emilia-Romagna Joint Stock Consortium, established with the participation of Emilia-Romagna, five regional universities, national research institutions, the union of the Chambers of Commerce, and regional representatives of the Bologna major cities, with an annual budget of EUR 22 million (KRW 30 billion) including the European funds and 220 professionals.

Daejeon TP said, "this MOU will be a foundation for Daejeon companies to enter the Italian market," adding that "we will do our best to help Dajeon-based companies achieve investment and sales results."
