On September 12, Daejeon Techno Park (Daejeon TP) announced that Daejeon-based companies achieved USD 19.03 million (KRW 22.58 million) in estaimated contract amount at IFA 2024, the largest consumer and electronics show in Europe held in Beriln, Germany on September 6-10.

Daejeon TP gained attention and response from visitors by promoting "Kkumdoli Event", a mascot of Daejeon-si, since August on the official website to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the IFA.

Daejeon TP said, "this year, we have doubled the scale of participation from last year to widely promote Daejeon's excellent products and technologies," adding that "it's meaningful in that our focus on promotion and meetings led to actual contracts and exports."

IFA, which marks the 100th anniversary this year since the beginning in 1923, is regarded as one of the world's top three consumer electronics shows along with CES and MWC.
